Científic

Un científic és una persona que participa o realisa una activitat sistemàtica per a adquirir nous coneiximents, és dir, que practica l'investigació científica. En un sentit més restringit, un científic és un individu que utilisa el método científic;^[1] esta accepció va ser falcada per William Whewell en 1840 en Philosophy of the Inductive Sciences ("Filosofia de les ciències inductives" en valencià). La persona pot ser un expert en una o més àrees de la ciència.^[2] Els científics són els que realisen les investigacions, buscant una comprensió més integral de la naturalea, incloent lo físic, matemàtic i social.
