Diamants en talla de Brillants

El diamant (del llatí diamas, -antis) és una pedra preciosa molt valorada en joyeria formada per carbono cristalisat en el sistema cúbic ; és transparent, molt dura i brillant.

Actualment és el material natural més dur que existix i un diamant a soles pot ser rallat per un atre diamant. Ademés de ser molt apreciats en joyeria són utilisats en l'indústria en broques, per a tallar cristals, en medicina, etc.

El brillant és un diamant tallat en 58 facets, 33 per l'endret i 25 pel revés.
