No obstant això, la indicació del seu naiximent en [[Sabrosa]] és una faula que es va forjar en el [[segle XIX]] a través d'uns documents que quatre historiadors portuguesos varen demostrar clarament falsos en els anys [[1921]]-[[1939]], lo que indica que no hi havia més que un lloc de naiximent...
