George Washington (Popes Creek, Westmoreland, Virgínia, Amèrica Britànica; 22 de febrer, 1732 – † Mount Vernon, Virgínia, Estats Units; 14 de decembre, 1799) fon el primer president dels Estats Units d'Amèrica, està considerat com un dels "Pares Fundadors" (Founding Fathers)[1] i a sovint és nomenat el "Pare de la pàtria" o "Pare del país" (Father of his nation, Father of his country).[2][3]
