Les kannerezed-noz (en breton, "lavandières de la nuit" en français), ces femmes blanches battaient le linge des morts au clair de lune en punition de leurs péchés, invitaient les voyageurs attardés à tordre les draps pour les enchaîner à leur propre damnation (conte collecté par Émile Souvestre en 1845 dans la région de l'estuaire de la Penzé) |
