Español: Castillo de origen árabe (siglo VII) en La Guardia de Jaén, Jaén, Andalucía, España. Uno de los primeros castillos árabes de la península construido sobre vestigios iberos (oppidum ibérico) y romanos. La configuración actual responde a la re-modelación del castillo como casa señorial de la Casa Mexía Carrillo en el siglo XV y XVI.
English: Spanish castle of Arabic origin (seventh century) in La Guardia de Jaén, Jaén, Andalusia, Spain. One of the first Arabic castles built on the ruins Iberian Peninsula (Iberian oppidum) and Romans. The current configuration responds to the renovation of the castle as manor house of Mexia Carrillo House in XV and XVI century.
