El tigre (del llatí tigris)[1] (Panthera tigris) és una espècie de mamífer carnívor de la família del fèlits.[2] És de pèl blanc en la pancha i groc en ralles negres en el restant del seu gran cos.
És un animal en molta agilitat i força per a caçar a uns atres animals dels que s'alimenta, ajudant-se de les seues fortes ungles i mandíbules.
Habita únicament en Àsia i està considerat com una espècie en perill.[3]
