Die Weiße Silberwurz ist äußerst genügsam und kann dadurch bis zu 100 Jahren alt werden. Die Pflanze mit einer achtblättrigen Blüte ist Islands Nationalblüte.
English: Eightpetal mountain-avens (Dryas octopetala), a plant native to the high mountains of Europe and arctic countries (Iceland, Norway). Mountain avens is extremely frugal and can therefore live up to 100 years. The plant with an eight-petalled flower is Iceland's national flower. |
