English: Delcourt's Gecko (Hoplodactylus delcourti): a giant gecko species, endemic of New Zealand wich became extinct species in the second half of the nineteenth century ; considered extinct in 1870. It could reach 60 cm long, . Only a few reconstituted or naturalized specimens (like this one) are held by some natural history museum in the world. This object was part of the exhibition "The dear departed" presented to the public in 2000 by the Lille Natural History Museum (MHNL)
Nederlands: Delcourt's gekko (Hoplodactylus delcourti): een reusachtige gekko species, endemisch van Nieuw-Zeeland welke est devenu uitgestorven soorten in de tweede helft van de negentiende eeuw; beschouwd uitgestorven in 1870. It Could lang oplopen tot 60 cm. Slechts een paar opgelost of genaturaliseerd exemplaren (zoals deze) worden gehouden door Sommige natuurhistorisch museum in de wereld.
