Megistotherium

Megistotherium (del grec, megistos "gran" + therion "béstia" i osteon 'os' + thlaston 'esclafat, mossegat' en -és com a agent substantiu: 'quebrantahuesos') és un gènero extint de creodonte, i l'única espècie coneguda d'este és Megistotherium osteothlastes. Alguns paleontòlecs ho consideren un sinònim més modern de Hyainailouros sulzeri
