Archaeobelodon
Archaeobelodon és un gènero extint de proboscídeos de la família Amebelodontidae que varen viure en el Mioceno Inferior i Mig del nort d'Àfrica i Europa. Tenia trompa i claus, pero era menor que els elefants actuals. Archaeobelodon és un ancestro de Platybelodon i Amebelodon.[1]
