Gomphotherium
Gomphotherium és un gènero extint de mamífers proboscídeos de la família Gomphotheriidae.[1] Varen viure al començament del Mioceno i Plioceno en lo que ara és Europa (Espanya, França, Alemània, Àustria i Bòsnia i Hercegovina[2]), Amèrica del Nort (Kansas, Tennessee), Àsia (Pakistan) i Àfrica (Kènia, Namíbia i Egipte).[3]
