Eratema
Plantilla:Geologia en Paleobiología Un eratema és una unitat cronoestratigráfica corresponent al registre estratigráfico total depositat durant el temps de duració d'una era en l'escala de temps geològic. De la seua formalisació s'encarrega la Comissió Internacional d'Estratigrafia.
Els eratemas en l'escala de temps geològic

S'han establit dèu eratemas, agrupats en tres eonotemas i dividits en vintidós sistemes (el eonotema Hádico no està dividit en eratemas i els eratemas del eonotema Arcaic no estan dividides en sistemes):[1]

Consideracions generals
[editar | editar còdic]Els eratemas tenen els mateixos noms que les seues corresponents eres.
- El eonotema Fanerozoico es dividix per lo tant en els eratemas
- Paleozoico, Mesozoico i Cenozoico, noms coincidentes en els de les corresponents eres.
Similarmente, el eonotema Proterozoico comprén, de més recent a més antic, els eratemas
- i el eón Arcaic i el seu eonotema corresponent es dividixen análogamente en
- Neoarcaico, Mesoarcaico, Paleoarcaico i Eoarcaico, el llímit inferior del qual (més antic) no està definit.[2]
